Olympics TV coverage

Does anyone know how to figure out what TV stations are broadcasting the Olympics and what the schedule is? I have basic cable through Cablecom. Thanks!

Re: Olympics TV coverage

Going by the TV spots and web pages - SF have almost blanket coverage on SF1,2 & Info, all available via the basic cablecom socket.

This webpage will tell you which event is on which channel:
http://www.sport.sf.tv/sport/tvprogramm

The German (http://olympia.zdf.de/ZDFsport/inhal...022439,00.html) and Austrian (http://tv.orf.at/all/20100213/filter?cat=Sport) Free-To-Air channels (also via cablecom) are also showing a lot of events too.

As of today, those German channels are broadcasting in HD ! I am retuning my Sat, but not sure if cablecom or Bluewin will also show the HD version.

HD Suisse will also broadcast more or less what is broadcasted in the Swiss Channels.

BBC 1&2 and BBC HD will have a slightly smaller coverage.

But of course, each broadcaster will show their own national competitors more than others.

I will just channel surf until I see something I like.

Re: Olympics TV coverage

If you want to watch Alpine skiing 24 hours a day, then tune into one of the Austiran channels (ORF1 or 2). No matter what other events are on, they will ignore them and instead building up and doing summaries of an Austrian medal performance in one of the Alpine events. No matter what other events are on, the Austrians only seem to care about the Alpine skiing. Last year, we even found them showing live coverage of the practice runs for the downhill race, the day before the real race.
