With the information you gave
here I think you'll get a little more help. If you were previously getting CNN, then the chances are that your aerial socket is, in fact, a cable TV socket. Unless CNN is broadcast in Geneva over radio waves?
You may find that having your TV do a scan for channels will recover CNN for you - your cable provider may have changed its frequency. (?).
Alternatively, analogue transmissions are being phased out. So CNN may now only be available in digital. If this is the case, then you will need to get a DVB-C "set-top" box. This allows you to watch digital cable. What you can actually receive depends on your cable provider. My cable provider gives us many channels we like for no additional charge. Others do not.
Now, for watching programs in English. This has, in fact been covered before, but for the sake of completeness. Some, but not all, TSR1, TSR2, RSI1, RSI2, SF1 and SF2 (and ORF1 and ORF2) programs are transmitted in dual language. This means that one audio channel has the original language - possibly English - and the other is dubbed into French, German or Italian. Your TV may not be dual language capable. If it is, you should find on the remote, a button marked I/II or you may be able to select language via the menu.
That reminds me also that older TVs cannot pick up all analogue cable transmissions either.
