Complicated at first but once it is all set up it is all too easy. Apple TV will ask if you want to rent it and when you say yes, movie will start and your account will be deducted automatically.

I managed to get another US iTunes account (after my first one got suspended a while ago). However, I have to say that the prices for buying series etc. are very high on iTunes

true - if you want to buy series, cheaper to get DVD boxed sets.

For TV shows, I only rent episodes that I missed.

to have Netflix outside the United States... All you need is a US VPN service. I use Hipeipvpn very fast connection and unlimted downloads/bandwidth.they offer many countries too. i use their services on my ipad/iphone to use the swiss app zattoo and Blick TV XXL to use the apps out of country to watch a few live channels. i also use the UK's BBC iPlayer this way too.

I also use VPNs when i log into my itunes accounts in USA, UK, Canada, CH, and more. Your account will not get suspended if your IP is ALWAYS in the country you are SUPPOSED to be in.

Also for you that are complaining about having to have a credit card to have an account. Most countries DO NOT require it. If you want one of the ones that do... there are services that sell itunes gift cards from all countries. you buy the card via paypal of credit card service and they send you the gift card number. Use it to open your account. this works for Germany, Japan, France, and more.

I've used my UK iTunes account from Singapore, South Africa, and here over the last few years without disguising the IP address (I use a VPN for iPlayer) and never had a problem.
