ok.. maybe this is a Swiss travel question.. maybe not...

my brother in law is going to be flying here via Heathrow in a couple of weeks and he will be bringing one of his guitars ( acoustic ) with him in a hard case.

does anyone know BA's rules on this ?, can it be considered carry-on ?

( yes I've checked BA's website but can't seem to find an answer.. they address sports equipment but not finger pluckers )
