As she is in Vaud, better to check France, if any other country.

I have a friend who had her children's orthodonics done in Divonne, just over the border in France, but OP is in Lausanne, and to make that treck for all the check-ups/adjustments would be a bit far in my opinon.

Anyhow, my oldest is going through this at the moment, she started at 8, but it is just the removable appliance method, ie. correcting the size/shape of the mouth before all the teeth come in and preventing the problem. It is about 1 year, 2 removable appliances, including checkups, believe I was quoted around 5-6,000 chf when it started. More or less it is according to that schedule so far. This should prevent the need for braces or further orthodontics, but that will need to be determined at a later stage.
