Re: Beagles used for lab testing released

I take it this wasn't medical testing then?

I worked for a company that had a contract with a company that did medical drug tests on beagles, and had the misfortune of having to visit one of the labs, outside the lab door I could hear the dog barking, moving around etc but as soon as I opened the door they all shut up and cowered at the back of there cages, petrified of humans, that was a pretty hard moment.

After the tests the dogs where put down, that was the law at the time iirc, a assume it still is now.
I gather they were used for product testing, thankfully didn't seem as traumatised as the poor dogs you talk about. Maybe the lab in Spain closed before they got so bad.
