A great deal will depend if you put any reference on your Swiss tax Return or not!
Pretty sure you can get the same exposure with options which would be taxed as capital gains, just remember if you return to the UK within 5 years it may well be taxable in the UK, thats assuming the revenue accept you have 'left permanantly' in the first place! If they have not then you continue to be liable to worldwide income & gains in the UK.
