| Ahh this was a bit of a screw-up. There were a number of inactive accounts that, for historical reasons, had elevated privileges - ex mods from the early days etc. The idea was to reset these accounts to normal registered users. This was done en masse and unfortunately, for some reason, they all ended up in the banned user group, and nobody noticed 
This has now been corrected, and thanks Galatea for bringing this up. | |

Rofl! I could already see our forum conspiracy theorist start diggin for the UFO and the dead alien...to figure out why exactly that has happened. Thanks for the explanation Slapheap...not that I really cared but some people will be able to sleep at night again.
