Yes, have a look at similar threads about living in France.

Having said that, it will take a bit of prioritising and compromising. A house with a decent garden close to geneva can be found, but it will likely be at/very near geneva prices. If you want rural and some space, moving out further is the likely the better option, but then you need to balance this with family life and the commute of your husband (if I understood correctly).

Living most anywhere in France will require a decent car commute, except perhaps Ferney. Depends a lot on what side of the river his work will be, and if he has standard hours or some flexible work hours. The commute at rush hour can be horrendous and seems to get worse all the time.

I would start with the side of the Geneve he will be working, decide the maximum commute time, and then start to look in a radius out that direction to France.
