quick overview of the situation. I have a half tax SBB Visa prepay car, which I purchased October 2010. Used the card once because I had no other means of using VISA (L Permit etc) i.e prepay was the only way. I received a letter from SBB Monday highlighting I owed them 218 chf as I hadn't paid a balance. From doing some research and calling SBB apparently the 2 yr HT card is paid on an annual basis, which I failed to understand. I have since moved address (August 2011) thus any reminders etc will have probably gone to the old address. In a nutshell I owe them 218 chf which I was about to pay today before seeing the Betreibungsamt in the mailbox. I have researched the process and why the Betreibungsamt get involved but feel it isnt all my fault. The sbb letter states I had 10 days to pay (I only got it Monday) and already they are going down the route of the Gemeinde. What will happen to my credit rating now, Ive been here nearly 2 yrs and upto now every bill has been paid on time ?
