It sounds a very interesting place to work. Do you have a background in working with children who have autism, already?

Have you compared that salary with what an assistant would get in other Swiss educational places? eg: childcare centres, International schools.

The other essential that has to come out of your salary is the compulsory health insurances ( that are not part of your general tax)and the insurance that landlords insist on the tenent carrying in case of damage to an apartment.

Yes, for a year, you could live on the remainder - eating simply and not spending money on clothes, travel etc. for that period.
