The stuff sold in 450g pots as coconut fat in the supermarkets is recommended for use as a replacement for the lard or oil normally use for frying (deep or shallow). Judging by the pictograms on the pot it could also be used for baking. It's cheap, and is a solid white mass.
Really depends what the OP want's coconut
oil for; I remember when it was used as sun-tan oil, and definitely came as a liquid, in a bottle.
