Re: Facilitated naturalization interview

Further update on time course for new searchers, more details in earlier posts.
- Jan 2011 - began accumulating paper work for my facilitated naturalization application (mother Swiss / I was born and raised in America)
- April 2011 paperwork submitted to Consulate in Toronto
- August 2011 interview and paperwork on child completed.
- Sept 2012 my references in Switzerland are contacted by mail (new readers, note the gap of over a year).
- Jan 2013 receive registered letter from my consulate (forwarded from the authorities in Switzerland) asking me to sign a form that I am a law abiding citizen of my country of residence, that I am in compliance with Swiss law, and confirming that I know that if they find that one has falsified anything they can revoke naturalized citizenship within 8 years of granting it. Form returned to Toronto Consulate.

Will keep you posted on what is next. I believe I am close.

Regards, Britt
