Ayn idea what the small pieces of plastic that go into shirt collars to give them shape are called in the German speaking part of the country? In English they are usually called "stays" or "bones"
Kragenstäbchen or Kragenverstärker

Well, you know me by now... if Swiss-Germans don't understand my German, I don't consider them worthy of talking to me. So, to me, it's colloquial. But for them... no idea.

Most Germans I know change the -chen into -li here. I don't.
In writing it is .....chen, but in dialect ......li

In Standard German it of course remains ....chen
