Maybe you only looked in Media Markt or Interdiscount for the prices?

Check DIGITEC and then compare with abroad.

Personally I found CH to be reasonably priced for anything electric/electronic.
I wouldn't buy a laptop abroad simply because of the aggro factor if I needed to claim on the warranty.
