You won't need an MFK for a year, so no hurry! Generally the MFK is in some ways easier than an MOT, if minor things don't work like lights, windscreen washers etc you just have to sign that you will get it fixed!

The car needs to have a clean engine & chassis which is the main difference & cars should be original specification.
Thanks. It's an original spec UK car. Quite clean for its age and I've read about the cleaning if engine & chassis so will do that here too.

I though tho, that I had to declare it with our household stuff when we arrive? Also, my UK insurer will only cover me for a couple if months so I'd need to do it before that runs out..?
