You have to declare when you arrive however you have upto 1 year to register the car here, Collins Stewart will give you a years insurance, however due to reciprocal agreements you will have 3rd party insurance abroad for the duration of your insurance policy.

Generally jet wash the engine the day before as it will get rid of any tiny traces of oil, or 10 minutes before if you have some little leaks!
