Am I the only one who thought the old Dave A was back? http://www.englishforum.ch/members/389-davea.html

Sorry to be off topic
Ha Ha.... I loved that the last few posts of DaveA were about being pissed off with "hijacking threads" (like this one now).

Anyway, to keep on topic,
Dave_A,
Remember that some laws are in place to prevent those without common sense performing acts of stupidity.

If your tyres have deep cuts, bulges, worn tread, etc. you should know if they are 'unsafe' or not.

With winding mountain roads, constantly variable weather, (and if you're in Germany for whatever reason) and Autobahns with high speeds........ would you honestly take take the chance?

The cost of a replacement tyre now is significantly less than the alternative should the tyre blow out.

Don't rely on the law, make the judgement for yourself.
