It varies. Sometimes they go the main cable box outside and stop the entire connection. I think in our case it was just too complicated to go to every wall connection.

If there is just one wall connection, they might disconnect it there.

It was free of charge. Cablecom does not want anyone having access to even basic cable unless they pay for it.

If you live in an apartment building where basic cable is part of the nebenkosten, you need to go through the property manager.
