This is a toughie - any help would be greatly appreciated.

Japan and Switzerland recently entered into a Social Security Agreement which covers totalization of pension contributions. Essentially it seems that you can 'export' your benefits from one country to another.

The thing is: I'm British, not Japanese. I have lived in Tokyo for 8 years contributing to the pension scheme, and am now planning to move to Switzerland.

The saving grace may be this: I will be marrying a Japanese woman prior to leaving Japan.

So my question would be:
- Can a non-Japanese spouse of a Japanese national export his/her Japanese pension contributions to Switzerland upon relocation?

I'll be duly impressed if someone knows the answer to this offhand!
