Perhaps my point wasn't so clear.

What I was trying to say is that living further away from Zurich where there is a 'train line', is usually faster to access the centre of Zurich, than living on the outskirts of Zurich where you only have a 'tram line'.
(Hence the Luzern example).

All great examples by the way dhd. I also work with quite a few people from Uster who commute to work faster than I do.
