Re: The Vet Thread (Recommendations)

Your question on stem cell therapy has piqued my interest (because I know absolutely nothing about it ), so I did a bit of googling and found this company, a veterinary stem cell bank:
http://www.vetcelleurope.ch

The 'information for owners' link lists these practices:
http://www.vetcelleurope.ch/fuer-besitzer

Now - this is only info garnered from my friend Google - so please take it as nothing more than that.

Perhaps you could have your vet in the US investigate?

---

I'd still recommend speaking with the Tierspital first, as the university is has an excellent reputation for veterinary research in Switzerland. (I've been very happy with the treatment we have received at the Tierspital.)

Here it would also be good for your vet in the US to speak to one of the professors.

Also found this:

The University Bern Veterinary School (another excellent institution) is doing research into the use of stem cell therapy. Another possible contact.

And if I might ask: once you find a vet who can provide the care your dog needs, could you update this thread? I think yours is the only stem cell therapy request I've ever seen on EF.
