Re: Driving a car with foreign plate with Swiss Driving License in Switzerland

I am trying to find the right answer amongst all these posts but it seems to have gotten complicated. I am an EU citizen planning to move to Switzerland next month and look for a job. I am about to buy a car and wanted to drive it over there. Can anyone answer my questions / confirm what I think?

-When do I need to declare my vehicle? I understand that this is done once I find a job and become a resident (which I am not yet)? Until I become a resident am I free to drive with my EU license on my EU plates?

-How long can I drive with my EU license on the EU plates? From what I gathered I have a year to change my license and my plates after I declare my vehicle?

Many thanks.
