Hi. I am British, just moved to Lausanne three weeks ago. I applied for my residency permit after a week. It hasn't arrived yet, I haven't paid anything for it, and I'm moving house tomorrow (from Preverenges to Central Lausanne).

Can someone please tell me what I need to do about changing the address on my permit, considering it hasn't arrived yet?

Do I go to the official officey place (sorry, I have no idea what it's called) in Preverenges and tell them I'm moving? I have no proof of my new address, however.

Or do I have to wait until I have moved in to my new place, got a contract, and THEN go all the way back to Preverenges to tell them my address has changed?

How much will it cost to change the address, considering I haven't received the permit yet and and haven't yet paid anything for it?

AND when will I actually receive it? My name isn't going to be on the postbox in my new apartment since I'm subletting a room, so how will the postman know which apartment I live in!?

I'm SO confused!!!
