I have a very first gen intel macbook pro from 2006 that is still running very well without any major problem. I have always had the fans running on at least 4000rpm since day 1 because of the overheat problem (thats another story though) and this laptop hasnt failed me once.
... and my VAIO from 2001 (Win XP) still boots up and does the job, when i ask it to. Fair game.
