Re: Help! Swiss Inheritance Laws, Problem Executor?

If you want to read up on Swiss succession law itself, here is non-offical translation (http://www.admin.ch/opc/en/classifie...ndex.html#a537)

You should note that under Swiss law you not only inherit assets but you might also inherit debts...

There are (short) time limits by which to state whether you reject inheritance, or whether you accept it only upon an official inventory being taken (in which case only listed debts need to be considered, etc.).

So overall you have several points to consider:
- access to information
- language barrier
- legal issues

All of which can be solved by hiring a Swiss-qualified lawyer (rates will be somewhere between CHF 300 - CHF 500 per hour).
