Re: Any English Speaking jobs in Commercial Law in Switzerland

Hello everybody

I am a Portuguese architect working in Bern. I have a very stable professional situation and me and my girlfriend have been trying to find ways for her to move here, but it has been hard to find suitable jobs. Her area of expertise is commercial law and she has a pretty good cv. Two masters in law, a good position in a very prestigious portuguese institution and speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish and some French.

Was wondering if anybody out there could help us by giving a few hints on what to do, or who would maybe know somebody who works in the area and could give us a hand.

Any help would be much appreciated...!

Thank you so much in advance!

Luis
Depending on her nationality it's easy or not. If EU then she has the right to move here to job hunt which may make it easier than trying to do it remotely. If non-EU then she needs a job offer and an approved permit. You could try for a concubine permit, but you would need to agree to be financially responsible for her for 5 years. Or get married of course.

I don't know about commerical law, but I would guess she may need to retrain in Swiss commercial law and of course have a good level of fluency in French and/or German.

There are jobs out there. I found 83 commercial lawyers jobs just searching on jobs.ch. Try these websites:
