Here are some ideas:

1. You could search in this forum (top right-hand corner of the screen, just below the ad) with the search-words "man with van" or just "van". There are/were some on this forum who drive backwards and forwards between the UK and CH.
2. You could consider ditching your possessions (selling or giving them away) in the UK, and buying new (or second-hand... there are many excellent charity shops here, not just for clothing but for all sorts of household dadgets and more) once you're here.
3. You could pack, in your luggage and hand-luggage, the heaviest items, and post the rest.
4. See the suggestion of Wolli, from post 7 onwards in this thread by someone else who is on her way over here, asking for similar advice: moving companies from NZ to CH?
