Also keep in mind not all trolleys have slots in the front. Our local Denner has trolleys with slide-in trays on top of the handle (for lack of a better description). You set your coin into a little tray and slide it to the right so it locks into place and then the chain will release. When you re-insert the chain after you're done shopping, the tray pops back out.
