Hello Filswiss,
Im really sorry about your situation. I hope here you find the advise you seek or at least some cheers.
My experience with RAV was really good, my adviser was really nice, I didnt get any money from them because I had never worked before in Switzerland but they provided great help. In order not to fear and be treated kindly, I suggest you prove you're giving your all to find a job. Because I preferred, most of my applications were online, I found out they (RAV) need proof of my applications and need every document I send to the employer, at the same time, online applications often are like surveys which are sent automatically to the firm but no copy to you, so I started making screenshots of all and send it as a file every time to her (my adviser). It worked well for some time and I have a lot to thank them for, however what I did was to go the Self employment route because on my area, work for someone else is really not worth.
Another advise I could give you, to have some pocket money while you search is to apply for some small jobs, I did also cat and home sitting, of course I did take note of the hours worked and income made and they (RAV) even give you like an incentive if you work some hours.
Another page I like a lot and still use occasionally (being a single mom of 2, I use any job i can get a hold of) is
https://www.staff-finder.jobs/public/index its amazing because Im always getting job offers so if im running low on cash, that's a way to boost a bit my income. Also the way the page works, allows you to gather recommendations and people even get hired for good. I didn't read whats your area of expertise but this tips I just gave could at least help you get some cash while you get your dream job, without going to Sozial help and not getting to deep in debt with your dad.
best of luck!
Kali
