Re: Paleo - Anyone here doing it?

My experience: It didn't work for me, but I'm one of those people who will not stop eating muffins. However, we do eat a few meals a week that would probably fall under the paleo banner and we like to try new things.

One good way to start is to just swap some ingredients and see what you like. It all depends on whether you want to be really strict or not. A few suggestions to try with your current recipes:

Pasta - use spaghetti squash or make ribbons of zucchini
Potato - make a twice-baked eggplant or roast some veggie sticks; I think sweet potatoes are okay too
Rice - make cauliflower rice, or use quinoa or lentils
Pizza - make a cauliflower crust
Thanks for the ideas. I am not 100% strict since I like to have a yogurt every now and then, but then again, it's not a religion, is it

It really works well with our daily cooking routine, tonight we're having tortillas and guacamole, so I am just leaving the tortillas out and eat the filling and the guaca. Everything prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients.
