Re: Hello to the Luxembourgish

I recently had a conversation with an old friend of my parents who came from Luxembourg originally but has been living in the UK for 40+ years. I explained to her how I live in France and work in Geneva and she started complaining about the problem of frontaliers in Luxembourg and how often when she goes there now she can no longer speak her own language Luxembourgish in shops because the (foreign) staff cannot.... This sounded very familiar I last visited Luxembourg (to see this said friend and her family) sometime in the 1970s. I have vivid memories of being annoyed because there were not enough spare beds and despite being 5 years old or so I was forced to sleep in the cot. I still bear the mental scars Welcome!
