| I'm making an assumption here so forgive me if I'm wrong, but presumably you left quickly because you needed to start a new job in the States. So why is it only now that your employer needs a police check? I would have thought that would have been required before you were allowed to start work.
And did you deregister here properly and cancel other stuff like your Swiss health insurance. Because if not, you've been clocking up bills for non-payment of that as well!
Why would you assume that a contract is cancelled just because you stopped using the service? That won't happen anywhere, not here, not in the UK, not in the US, or the rest of the world especially for things like mobile phones where companies are fighting tooth and nail for your business. You need to find out what each contract specifies and terminate the contract in the way it states. | |

Thanks for the concern "stranger".....I feel U r being some FBI agent and interrogation me as I am some criminal.
Anyways for your concern and peace of mind, I was pursuing an internship since the last 10 months .....Now I am going into a job which needs a police clearance certificate from countries I last lived in.
Hope this clarifies......
About cancelling other stuff....I have done that.....I was naive in asuuming about the orange phone contract.....will take care of it

| Maybe it has to do with a visa, a change in company policy, promotion or other random crap. Does it really matter? | |
