You should ask that the equivalent of your Kantons "Amt für Arbeit", Wirtschaftsamt or similar.
As for unpaid leave:
You probably need replacement insurance for the insurances related to your salary, e.g. accident insurance. Because, probably, no salary means no premiums paid and therefor no insurance.
