Re: non EU, Early C permit, Canton Approval, Time for Bern approval ?

Just to be clear, the Geneva website that I referenced says that temporary permits don't count unless the applicant has had a B permit in the most recent two years (an "autorisation de séjour durable" is a B permit; see here for confirmation: https://www.ge.ch/moe/fr/autorisation.asp). No mention of limited contracts... perhaps yet another point of difference between cantons?

Judging from Maverick's experience, who has lived here with 2 L permits and 3 B permits, the Genevan authorities have kept to what is published on their website - they have given him a positive response, and now it is up to the federal authorities in Bern.
