I have a same problem, commuting between Lausanne and Bern (Zollikofen). So I am starting an internship in Zollikofen on Tuesday and it was impossible to find a room in Bern so now I am thinking about commuting in September and extending it until the end of internship, 31st of January 2016. So I counted on around 2 hours there and back, it takes 1h25 to get from Lausanne Gare to Zollikofen station and the workplace is exactly at the station. What do you think? Is it doable? I'd buy a students general abonnement for 240CHF a month and I don't pay rent in Lausanne since I live with my family.
