Thats the cost of not being able to thrown out with 1 months notice, identical terms for both parties, is hardly 'disgraceful'. Maximum would be 5 months in ZH in a normal contract with no end date.

Life insurance exists to cover liabilities you may have at death, if you don't have any your 'self insuring' the risk.
