Well, myself, I'd say it's not a bad idea. Coming back to a country one lived in earlier, may feel like coming 'back' or coming 'home' but rises in prices can catch one unawares. I remember well when school dinners in England cost 4d per day. Now I see they are 1.50!!!
If you are used to having tax deducted at source (as in England) you might get a horrible surprise if you get a bill sometime for a whole year here in CH. If Health Care was 'free' and you suddenly have to pay monthly... The nasty habit of adding only a very low akonto 'other costs' to the rent, and then sending a large bill for the costs which were not met... I can think of quite a few reasons for asking questions on here and making a budget in advance.
