Did you bother to read the Thread I'd linked to in post #20?

It seems you did almost exactly the same as the EF member involved; failing to give way on entering a main road (except in their case it was from a motorway slip road).
The fine was the same, they were at at least partially fault and swiss law can punish both parties involved in incidents, even if one is considered more 'guilty' than the other.
Despite the lack of road sign and markings they're still technically there, you knew you were entering a main road from a secondary one should have paid more attention; waiting a few minutes before being waved in by another motorist does not absolve you of the need for care and attention.

It's quite likely the scooterist has received a similar fine, it's really best just to accept it and think yourself lucky you haven't lost your licence.
