I used to just use Autoglym Super Resin Polish on my cars but recently bought some Carnauba wax for a change. It really brings out a lovely glow to the car but dosent last very long and seems to accentuate small scratches.

so was wondering should i use both? is there a way to make the wax last longer?

also if i polish do i need to clay bar first or does the polish do the same?

Any other products worth a look?
Super Resin is synthetic and much more durable than wax, that's why it stays on longer. However nothing will reach the deep shine of the wax. The good thing is it can also polish, but it's a ridiculously mild abrasive, so in theory you could go SRP and then wax, but honestly if you already seal with SRP then wax is kind of a waste. Decide if you want durability or shine and chose accordingly.

Also if you don't go to work with a machine on your paintjob, you won't really do much to the paint, other than potentially making it worse.
