Re: Family reunification Permit Extension with No Job

OP, what have you done to improve/change your circumstances since this thread?

Job searching physics

As much as you might hope, just being married to a Swiss citizen is not going to make jobs fall into your lap. You need to network. Do you belong to any local clubs? Do you have contacts at any of the universities here? Can your German university give you an introduction to a company or university here?

I would avoid going on social help if at all possible. When you got married, your spouse had to prove she had sufficient funds to support you (or that your combined savings/income was enough). When your annual permit comes up for renewal, your finances will be examined again.

If you go on social, you'll also have extra scrutiny for a C permit and/or naturalization down the road.

Yes, German courses can be expensive. Think of it as an investment in your future! Without the language skills, you're going to continue to be frustrated and the gap on your CV will just grow.
