The second referendum petition is a farce.
The whole thing is a farce:
- A sovereign parliament
- A non binding referendum
- A petition requiring the matter to be discussed by the parliament

What stand should an MP take:
- The mandate that elected him?
- The outcome of the referendum, even if he disagrees with it?
- Make up his own mind?

And what if the parliament were to ignore the out come of the referendum, as Boris seems to be suggesting to put it off for a while.... ironically all the people could do is look to the EU to enforce the outcome of the referendum and even there it would mean a long uncertain legal battle in the European courts!

It seems that political reform is badly needed in the UK.
