An apparatus we once built involved samples being drawn over a flabed scanner to be scanned so we could match the serial numbers to the measurement results. The flatbed scanner was secured by being screwed to the frame. My boss at the time was French, young, straight out of managemnet training, blonde,. and not too aware of English colloqialisms. At one point it turned out the scanner had become dislaigned as the screws were not sufficiently tight. In front of the entire team she told me "you and I need to spend some time screwing in the flat bed"

I was till hearing about thta one years after.
