Yes- but there is a maximum per year I believe- so our accountant adivised us to spread renovation work over some years.
I have no idea how it works if you do the work yourself- perhaps the materials but I am not sure. I think part of the reasoning if that you provide work for local artisans. You really should check with an accountant as I honestly do not know.
