Seems I got it wrong

May and the Brexit secretary, David Davis, will announce the government’s plan to repeal the 1972 European Communities Act and there will be new legislation to transpose EU legislation into British law, in its entirety,

That law will only come into force on the day Britain leaves the EU, with future governments then able to unpick those laws as desired.

So the"good news" for the leavers is the UK will continue to have to follow all EU laws until March 2019; after that date then maybe some future Govt. will change things

Some interesting thoughts here "PM has announced legislation to end authority of EU law. But why leave if we are transposing its laws into British law?" Worth reading!
