Re: Sunrise internet activation: do I really need an electrician?

well if you mess something up you could find yourself quickly in court facing a damages charge

I recently moved to a new place and signed up for internet and landline with Sunrise (cheaper than other companies around). I am waiting now for them to connect the internet line to the apartment. Sunrise offers to send you an electrician in order to do the activation (once the line is connected) for 200 chf. However, in the shop I was told that if I want I can do that by myself.

I have no experience in this, but I would like to save those 200 francs. Has anyone been through this? What do I need to do in order to activate the line, and is it doable if you have no electrician experience?
