Hi all, I've recently received 2 invoices after providing my tax return for period May 2015 - December 2015 (I moved here in May).

I lived in Schindellegi, Feusisberg in Kanton Schwyz during that time but my employer was based in Zurich. Between the 2 invoices, they are asking for nearly 10k CHF! I asked my employer if they grossly miscalculated my witholding tax and they said no - it's a fairly simple calculation based on rates provided to them by the tax offices. What they've told me is they spoke to the Gemeinde and Kanton and that there is a delay in Kantons sending witholding tax money to eachother and they understand that my tax has only been paid up until August 2015 - so essentially Kanton Zurich owes them 4 months of tax.

I'm struggling to see why this is my problem and why I should pay out this amount of cash when I've paid my taxes and this appears to be a delay in Kantons exchanging money.

Can anyone lend any advice or maybe you've been in the same situation?
