step 2. bring the right case up to the SC

At worst (from a pro-abortion POV), the US SC would overturn Roe v. Wade, then freeing the state legislators to adopt laws that would very much be like, if not exactly like, the ones the UK has (e.g., no late-term abortions).

Hardly cataclysmic.
