Definitely a noble topic to be the chief basis of voting for a President.
Unfortunately, choosing a president based on the future environmental impact is a bit of a luxury reserved for those who have a stable income, wealth, and comfort in their life.
The truth is, that the majority of people who struggle to have affordable housing, a paying job, clothes for their children and food on the table, the environmental state in the future is of lesser concern.

On the other hand, if we look at why the jobs have moved to developing countries, cheaper labor is only a small part. Industrial processes that would require waste-water facilities, emission treatments under good environmental policies will move to developing countries where these extra facilities aren't required. Encouraging companies to stay, and follow the stricter guidelines is actually better for the environment.
Indeed, it really depends on the priorities of the individuals.

Also, keep in mind Obama has signed the Monsanto Act and appointed the former Monsanto exec as head of FDA. So in this regard, Obama was not a good president either,of course only from my perspective.

I hope Trump will bring actions to solve the problems of those in need as you have rightfully highlighted.
