Re: Our neighbour took down our Christmas lights

I hung them outside, around the railing of our patio, they are soft 'warm' lights, nothing flashing etc and don't exactly 'shine'. I didn't turn them off when we went to bed, simply because I have never done so in any previous places I've lived in and I didn't think there was anything wrong with having outdoor lights on around christmas at night (in fact I think it looks lovely, the more lights around the better).

He has a small window facing the patio, it looks like it's his living room, not bedroom so I wouldn't think they would bother him when he is sleeping and there is a curtain there.

I haven't spoken to him/her yet as it only happened this morning and it's the building next to ours so I don't know who it is, what apartment they are in etc. I wanted to find out whether he has a right to do something like that before having a chat.
